PTR Poker Player of the Year Information
Who are the best Online Poker players in the world? PTR is going to let you decide. Now through December 31st voting is open for the 2009 PokerTableRatings.com player of the year. To participate simply go to your favorite players profile page and cast a vote for them. Winners will be honored with an exclusive badge to showcase their victory. Awards:
- » Nosebleeds: $100/$200 and up
- » High Stakes: $10/$20 - $50/$100
- » Mid Stakes: $2/$4 - $5/$10
- » Low Stakes: $.5/$1 - $1/$2
- » Micro Stakes: $.25/$.5 and below
Qualification:
- » In order to qualify for a Player of the Year Award you must have played at least 10,000 hands at the stakes for that award in 2009.
- » You can qualify for more than one award.
Voting:
- » Each registered user of PokerTableRatings.com will receive 10 Player of the Year votes.
- » To vote for a player, go to that players PTR profile page and check the boxes for the Player Of The Year Awards you would like to vote for and click submit. Each checked box will count as one vote.
- » You can vote for a player more than once.
- » Once a vote is cast it cannot be changed and we cannot give you additional votes so choose carefully.
- » Voting will close at 11:59:59 CST Dec 31st.
Winning:
- » After all the votes are counted the players with the most votes in each category will be declared the PTR Player Of the Year for that level.
- » Each winning player will receive a special badge for their PTR profile.

This would be awesome if it were actually going to work, but it doesn't seem like it is going to. I can see in the microstakes results that horrible players are registering multiple names for PTR and just using all their votes for themselves, seeing as I don't think any decent player would vote for them, kind of pathetic but nice try PTR. I liked the idea
Restrict voting by IP address and blacklist proxies, imo.
the winners should be the ones that make the most surely at each level
At the micro stake, the victory was engineered by a group of 2p2ers who all voted for a losing player instead of the very deserving JBLS23.
