Postflop Action Tops Weekend Winners

By Patrick Wallace - January 25th, 2010

Post flop ActionFulltilt’s high stakes PLO tables have seen another action packed weekend with plenty of 6 figure swings amongst the online poker pros, here are the results:

Weekend Winners Weekend Losers
Postflopaction $192,263 THEDONKEYNO1 -$203,455
TheASHMAN103 $142,065 Randominfluence -$120,338
La key u $102,133 Drpill -$129,968
Gus Hansen $91,467 Rafiboy -$96,312

Alexander ‘PostflopAction’ Kostritsyn crushed the action at the $100/$200 PLO CAP tables, recording his ‘best day’ online on Saturday and finishing the weekend $192k better off. TheASHMAN103 and Gus Hansen both started the New Year on serious heaters and nothing changed this weekend as they both raked in $142k and $91k respectively.

Alexander ‘PostflopAction’ Kostritsyn’s online profit graph isn’t looking too healthy but he does have $2m+ of tournament cashes under his belt which include:

1st place in the Aussie millions Main Event 2008 for $1.45m
3rd place in WSOP $10k 7-Card Stud Event for $163,372
1st place in the Fulltilt $1k Monday for $89k
2nd place in the WCOOP $2,100 8-Game Event for $75,215

He scored a nice win this weekend when he played just over 900 hands of $100/$200 PLO heads up against Randominfluence. Postflopaction came out on top with a $108k in profit:

Randominfluence won the biggest pot of the session when he flopped middle pair with a gut shot straight draw against PostflopAction’s top pair and they both checked it down. Randominfluence turned the nut straight and reraised. PostflopAction responded with another raise, now drawing dead to 3 outs for a split pot and Randominfluence craftily called. The river brought a possible flush and PostflopAction attempted a bluff but was snap called by Randominfluence, who took down a $50k pot.

PostflopAction lost a big pot when an action turn gave him trips against Randominfluence’s full house. Naturally, all the money went in and the river drew a blank, sending another big pot worth $40k to Randominfluence.

PostflopAction flopped top two-pair and Randominfluence called his pot size bets on the flop and the turn. The river improved PostflopAction’s hand to a full house and once again got a pot size call to take down a $32k pot.

THEDONKEYNO1, Randominfluence, DrPill and rafiboy all recorded their ‘worst day’ tracked online so far this weekend with all but Randominfluence’s profit slipping into the red.

Theo ‘THEDONKEYNO1′ Jorgenson, who took the biggest hit of $203k this weekend, is another player whose online results have taken a dive inspite of having had tremendous success in tournaments. The Danish poker pro has racked up nearly $1.5m in tournament wins which have included 5 cashes in WSOP events, earning a bracelet for 1st place in the $5k PLO Event in 2008.

His worst losing session this weekend was the 324 hands of $100/$200 PLO CAP 6-max he played on Saturday morning where he dropped $92k.

Brian Hastings hit a nice flop when he caught a set against THEDONKEYNO1’s bottom pair with a flush draw. All the money went in on the flop and the turn brought Brian quads to win the $16k pot.

Another action flop had all the money in the middle when THEDONKEYNO1 flopped trips against PixKim’s dominating trips, and LarryBertleman’s full house. Lady luck smiled on Pixkim as he caught a bigger full house on the river to scoop the $26k pot.

THEDONKEYNO1’s gamble paid off when he called all in preflop in a 3 way pot with just 10 high against LarryBertleman and sunra18. THEDONKEYNO1 turned trips that held up to bag him a $24k pot.

Pixkim won another big pot when he flopped top pair with the nut flush draw against LarryBertleman’s 2nd nut flush draw and DONKEYNO1’s dominated flush draw with a wrap straight draw. All the money went in and the turn drew a blank, then the river improved Pixkim’s hand to trips to win the $25k pot.
