Ashton ‘theASHMAN103′ Griffin completed his ‘best day’ online on Friday when he took to the virtual felt on his Pokerstars account and cleaned up for a $316k win just in time for lunch. He also had a hot weekend on Fulltilt’s tables giving him a combined weekend win of over $420k online.
His biggest winning sessions were at the $100/$200 PLO 9-max tables on Pokerstars where LuckyGump took the worst hits and certainly wasn’t living up to his name.
TheASHMAN103 flopped a wrap straight draw against LuckyGump’s top pair and called a pot size bet. The turn completed theASHMAN103’s straight but LuckyGump did the betting as he moved all in and got a quick call. TheASHMAN103’s straight held up on the river and he collected a $27k pot.
LuckyGump lost a big pot in an unlucky hand when he flopped a two-pair with a king high flush draw against theASHMAN103’s top pair with a wrap straight draw. The turn once again favoured theASHMAN103, who made the nut straight and moved all in. LuckyGump called and the river failed to deliver any of his outs, sending the $40k pot to theASHMAN103.
LuckyGump wasn’t in the mood for giving free cards when he flopped top pair and reraised theASHMAN103 all in who then turned over a flopped two-pair. Neither of the hands improved by the river and Luckgump lost another huge pot worth $40k.
They both hit the flop hard when LuckyGump flopped top two-pair against theASHMAN103’s bottom two-pair with the nut flush draw which had them both all in. LuckyGump’s bad luck continued when theASHMAN103 made his flush on the turn which held up to win the $38k pot.
No prizes for guessing who won the biggest pot of the session when LuckyGump’s pocket aces with the nut flush draw ran into theASHMAN103’s flopped full house. An enticing bet from theASHMAN103 prompted an all in reraise from LuckyGump on the turn who was drawing to just 1 out. Unsurprisingly, theASHMAN103’s full house held up to scoop a $46k pot.
