Intense action at Fulltilt’s nosebleed PLO tables saw some huge swings in the seasoned pro’s bankrolls last weekend resulting in Cole South clearing nearly $560k in profit and Patrik Antonius dropping another $822k.
| Weekend PLO Winners | Weekend PLO Losers | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Cole South | $559,690 | Patrik Antonius | -$821,549 |
| Brian Hastings | $376,212 | Gus Hansen | -$116,524 |
| Ziigmund | $144,803 | Durrrr | -$103,222 |
| Urindanger | $140,258 | Fakesky | -$70,905 |
Brian Hastingscleared the $4m overall profit mark with ease this weekend as he racked up a $376k win in a single 2 hour session and Urindanger is fast approaching as he continues to steadily grind the $100/$200 PLO CAP tables at a very respectable win rate of 4.8BB/100. Patrik Antonius has hit a big slump recently and has dropped over $2m in just the last week. His worst session of the weekend came when he played 216 hands of $300/$600 PLO with Ziigmund and Cole South who relieved his bankroll of $341k and $106k respectively.
Ziigmund won the biggest pot when he called a 4bet and flopped a dominated top pair with a straight draw against Patrik’s pocket aces. Ziigmund pushed all in on the flop and spiked the nut straight on the turn to take down a $215k pot.
The deck remained hot for Ziigmund when he turned the nut straight against Patrik’s 2nd nut straight. Needless to say they were all in on the turn which had left Patrik drawing dead and Ziigmund won a healthy $182k pot.
Ziigmund flopped the better side of a weighted coin flip when he caught a set against Patrik’s top pair with a straight-flush draw. Ziigmund reraised all in on the flop and ended the hand quickly by turning quads to win the $126k pot.
Patrik Antonius’shefty weekend losses were not helped by the fact that 2 of the sessions moved him 2,112 hands closer to the ‘Durrrr Challenge’ finish line and extended durrrr’s lead by $203,753. They have now played 31,912 of the 50,000 required hands and durrrr is sitting pretty with a $1,077,932.50 lead.
Durrrr won the biggest pot of the sessions when he flopped a straight-flush draw against Patrik’s top pair. Durrrr check-raised and a wise call from Patrik allowed him to further his lead on the turn by making top two-pair whilst durrrr was yet to make a hand. Durrrr semi-bluffed the turn all in and Patrik called him down in good shape, however durrrr spiked his straight on the river to win a pot worth $193k.
Patrik won a huge pot when his pocket kings ran into pocket aces and durrrr just called the 4bet preflop. Patrik picked up a flush draw on the flop and durrrr check-raised all in with his aces still in the lead. The turn gave Patrik a set which held up to take down a $193k pot.
Patrik’s patience was well rewarded when durrrr decided to slow play a flopped top two-pair. Patrik caught a set on the turn and deceptively just called a big reraise from durrrr. The river gave Patrik a full house and he called durrrr’s near pot-size all in to scoop the $160k pot.
A great read from Patrik went unrewarded when he committed over 1/3 of his stack preflop with just king high. Durrrr flopped trips and called an all in from Patrik who needed a lot of help to win the hand. The turn improved durrrr to a full house to take down the $119k pot. This may have been an attempt by Patrik to mix up his play however he is generally very cautious preflop.
Durrrr avoided trouble when he flopped a dominated straight-flush draw to go with his pocket 7’s against Patriks pocket kings with a live flush draw. The turn gave durrrr a set and he reraised all in which Patrik called, needing a spade or a king. Durrrr improved to a full house on the river to win the $85k pot.
It seems the hands are running out for Patrik to collect the $1.5m side bet from the Durrrr Challenge but there is still 18k hands left which is still a lot considering this is a game where a top pro can drop $2m in just a week.
