The poker gods finally gave Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan a break on Thursday as he finished his first profitable day at Fulltilt’s PLO tables for nearly 2 weeks. Once again he had Cardrunner fever as he battled their top pro’s , Brian Townsend and Cole South, to land successive wins of $244k and $299k respectively.
Durrrr kicked off his sessions with Brian Townsend in the small hours of Thursday morning to play 279 hands of $100/$200 PLO where Brian took a good early lead, only to be decimated in the 126 hands of $200/$400 PLO that followed.
Brian cracked durrrr’s pocket aces to win a big pot when he called all in preflop with ace high. Brian’s hand still had 37% equity in the pot and it paid off this time as he hit the nut flush on the turn to take down a $113k pot.
Durrrr hit the money flop when he caught top set over Brian’s bottom set. Brian attempted to deceptively slow play the flop but the inevitable happened when a blank turn hit and durrrr got his money in with just 1 out to sweat. The river missed Brian’s long shot and durrrr won a $160k pot.
Variance once again favoured durrrr when he logged a 2011 hand session of $200/$400 PLO with Cole South later that afternoon.
Durrrr won the biggest pot of the session when both he and Cole flopped top two pair and moved all in. The turn and river delivered running 10’s giving them higher two pairs but with durrrr’s jack kicker landing him the $176k pot.
Durrrr hit a sick 2 outer when he turned a full house against Cole’s smaller flopped full house. Durrrr fired 3 barrels and Cole reraised all in on the river to get the bad news as durrrr took down the $122k pot.
Cole ran into a troublesome flop when he caught top two pair with a gut shot straight draw against durrrr’s top set. All the money went in on the flop and durrrr turned a full house to win a $120k pot.
Not content with flopping just the 1 set over set that day, durrrr hit another jackpot flop against Cole South, this time middle set over bottom set. Durrrr slow played the flop and a raising war erupted on the blank turn, setting them all in. Cole missed his 1 out on the river and durrrr scooped another easy $138k pot.
There’s no doubt lady luck was favouring durrrr who seemed to be a set magnet throughout Thursday’s action, but if anyone deserved it, it was durrrr. Hopefully this will be the beginning of the hot streak that has eluded him for over a year. He seems to be becoming a regular heads up challenger to the Cardrunner pros and here is a break down of how he has fared against them so far:
| Opponent | Hands | Durrrr’s Profit |
|---|---|---|
| Brian Townsend | 6,845 | $1,069,862.50 |
| Brian Hastings | 1585 | -$452,020.55 |
| Cole South | 10,914 | -$474,465.75 |

Goooo Durrrr
GO DURRR..!!!!!!!!!! BEAT THOSE CHEATERS..!!
they will do the same thing they did to isildur
Goodness gracious great balls of fire.
They are not cheaters, they just dont play fair.
how do they cheat??
lox
they shared the hand histories of isildur1 and compared them and studied his every move so that they could then dominate him, basically
poker software should be somehow banned by all poker sites!!
all players trade and discuss hands with each other.at least the one that play poker to make money not recreacional like most of you guys.sites like this or 2plus2 are sites where hands are discussed and info is traded on regular bases so with your idiotic logic everyone who uses that info are cheaters…grow a brain and stop saying shit.
you guys are idiots for calling them “cheaters”. everyone at the high stakes shares info. As if you wouldn’t the same, right.
Alls you have to do is get drunk and play erratically…lol. Switch your game up and keep them guessing… thats the way to succeed in poker anyways…
I think what the team Cardrunners vs Isildur1 showed was the amount of effort these guys put in to stay at the top. It’s not like the guys at CR did anything that other high stakes players do just one of them was silly enough to tell the whole poker world. Isildur1 himself said he thought he had the greatest edge against durrrr before he even hit the nosebleed tables. How did he know this unless he had access to a lot of hand histories on durrrr? If you want to succeed and be a top winner at the highest stakes then obviously you are going to have to put in a lot of effort because all your opponents will.
