Railbirds were treated to more nosebleed action at Fulltilt’s virtual felt last night as the fearless Swede, Isildur1, returned to do battle with Justin ‘Zeejustin’ Bonomo and Brian Townsend who both ended up thrashing his bankroll for a combined $960k.
Zeejustin recorded his ‘best day’ online as he took Isildur1 for $268k at the NLH heads-up tables and then went on to crush Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan for another $360k which left Zeejustin sporting a new top hat as he exceeded the $1m overall profit mark.
Isildur1 went on to play 934 hands of $300/$600 PLO against Brain Townsend who finally broke his 2 month cold streak by cleaning up for a $658k win.
Brian won a massive pot when he flopped a flush draw with a wrap straight draw against Isildur1’s middle set, the turn peeled a blank and Isildur1 moved all in as a 58% favourite. Brian called and caught his flush on the river to take down the $416k pot.
A big action flop saw both their stacks in the middle as Brian caught a two-pair with a wrap straight draw against Isildur1’s middle pair with the nut straight-flush draw. Pretty as Isildur1’s hand looked, it was almost a 2/1 dog to win and Brian’s two-pair held up to bag another huge pot worth $257k.
Brian hit another monster flop when he caught top two-pair with a gut shot straight draw against Isildur1’s wrap straight draw. Isildur1 moved all in and the turn delivered Brian a full house to seal the hand and scoop the $208k pot.
It was obvious that variance was a huge factor in Isildur1’s losses last night but when considering the well known fact Brian Townsend has done his homework on Isildur1’s strategy, and again his game of choice was PLO, was this result inevitable?

when you look at all the big hands and how the money went in the headline could easily be “Isildur1 up another mil”… the simple fact is luckiest player won on the day. why shouldnt he play him PLO? the only reason as to why not is if he hasnt got much $ behind him. If he still has a few mil behind him I would get back on the PLO tables playing hard as he can!!! variance will catch up.
Is there anyone less analytical about poker in the world than Isildur’s fanboys? Funny how they never mention his running 2 million over EV vs Townsend in his marathon sessions prior to going broke to Hastings. Funny how every other top PLO player folds to a 3 bet once in a while except Isildur. Cole, Ziig, Townsend, Hastings, PA all seem to think that Isildur is the fish at PLO at these limits but none of that seems to make the slightest impression on the nuthuggers.
LOL very well said Feral. I don’t understand it either.
Hastings ran 2mil over EV when he took that 5 from him. The other 3 mil can be explained by skill, or that he continually got the better hand in important spots preflop. for instance, I think 7893 1 suit isn’t worth 5k preflop.

I don’t understand this statement. He took him for 500k a couple days before. Since when does Patrik Antonius consider him the fish. I read of him boasting about Isildur’s great talent. He said he continually put him to the test. And what about Hastings hand history swapping, that’s classy.
lol bummrunners has ” conglomerated ” probably over 5 million away from Isildur… why does he still play them?? If bumrunners weren’t so tightly connected to fulltilt , would they still have accounts? I realize that poker players as a ” species ” are opportunistic , but what these guys did was clearly against Fooltilt policy ( hence Townsend’s suspension ) , it also shows how slimey and unscrupeless bumrunners really are . Not to mention one of them unknowingly outed the operation , which leads me to believe they are gonna need to datamine every opponent they play cause they seem to be too dumb to to even shut up about what i consider cheating . Alot of other people think this too not just me . The so called integrity of these players should be damaged as much as Roger Clemons or Tiger Woods……but they have none and even less talent . amen da12345

why do people like isildur? he gives the sickest action and its about the only sessions you can sit on the edge of your chair and hope things goes his way. isil is the underdog with the tons of talent (underdog because of bankroll and gameselection), he takes on the best of the best consistantly and almost stupidly all the time. it feels like your watching rocky in the making. and I love rocky! ; D
right on smasher
smasher you da man!! so true lololol
for the idiots that keep on criticize brian remender that you are posting in a site that sells the same information the cardrunners guys traded between them.brian did what many people do aquire information to play better agains all players.every poker player as traded databases and discussed hands about other players.the only thing wrong was that it was against full tilts rules.and bumhunting is a term used for heads up generaly wich states a guy is seating on a table waiting only playing fish and isildur1 is not a fish.
The fact that most of the big pros are more than willing to play Isildur at PLO says exactly what they think about his PLO game.
I guess he’s learning that PLO on Absolute poker is a bit easier than PLO on Full Tilt
fow…. there is a difference , when a player shares his own showdown data it is different than hands you get on here as your opponents hand appears to people at the table ( even when it is mucked ), not on the data mined material…and if as a player i cannot adapt quickly by using my own capabilities and talent then i geuss i should data mine . The only time i use this site is to see how many hands they played and thier rating . I don’t play at the stakes these maniacs play at so it isn’t that important that i ” conglomerate ” to gain an edge , i gain my edge by the stakes i play . I don’t think i am the ” idiot ” here , i take no shots at anyone but the accused and it is pothetic if players are out there doing this on a constant basis . It used to be part of the game was learnig your opponent spontaniously , online poker has turned into a video game with cheat codes and it is only a sign of the times …..people generally just want things handed to them and i am no exception gl and tc
well interesting comments but really the pros are the pros because they have cash to back them up. I watch their wreckless play and gambling play which they can get away with because the cash they have behind them. I guess I’m a non-believer in some of the pros skill level. However, there are a few pros that are very deserving of the title “pro”. Look forward to the day I can take them on, pity them if I ever have the cash to do so…..
What may look like wreck less behavior too you Thomasrk is probably what makes them a “pro”. They have money behind them for a reason, They crush the games they play and move up in stakes.
I wish you would list some of the pros you think don’t deserve the title “pro” so your argument might have some validation.
IMO, I would love to see Isil play these other top pros live. But it makes me depressed because I know that will never happen =X.

zeejustin is a moron to paly vs tom durr dwan, and deserved to lose all he won
