Jungleman12 Bests Pros and Awarded Top Hat

By Patrick Wallace - February 15th, 2010

Top HatJungleman12 has truly earned his top hat this weekend as his battles with the top name pros at Fulltilt’s nosebleed heads-up tables sent his profit soaring past the $1m mark.

Weekend PLO Winners Weekend PLO Losers
Gus Hansen $462,917 Postflopaction -$287,629
Trex313 $207,090 POKERBLUFFS -$253,485
Jungleman12 $141,532 Sunra18 -$236,483
Isildur1 $89,026 Luckexpress10 -$147,086

Gus Hansen and Hac ‘trex313′ Dang had the most lucrative weekend at the virtual felt but at the expense of Alexander ‘PostflopAction’ Kostritsyn and sunra18 who both logged their ‘worst day’ records and saw an unfortunate sunra18 plummet into the red. The cards finally came through for Isildur1 though as he logged his first decent win since his big crash at the end of 2009 but is still a way off resetting his ‘best day’ record which still stands at a monster $1.7m.

Jungleman12 braved a 1977 hand heads-up session of $100/$200 NLH with Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan on Saturday evening which paid off as he ended up taking the online superstar for $164,088.

Durrrr delivered a brutal suck-out when jungleman12 flopped the nut straight against durrrr’s top pair. Not sensing much danger, jungleman12 played it slow, allowing durrrr to catch a miracle runner runner straight and pick up a pot worth $40k.

Durrrr dodged a cold deck preflop when he had pocket kings against jungleman12’s pocket aces. A 3rd king peeled off on the flop for durrrr and his set held up to bag him an $81k pot.

Durrrr shoved all in with 9 high which jungleman12 picked off with his AKs. Neither hand improved by the river and jungleman12 picked up an easy $42k pot.

Durrrr fired 3 barrels into a dangerous board with just 4 high and a gut shot draw against jungleman12’s flopped aces. The brave semi-bluff was picked off all the way by jungleman12 who landed himself another easy pot worth $77k.

Just a few hands later, durrrr attempted to 3 barrel a gut shot straight draw again with jack high that had run into jungleman12’s flopped top two-pair. Again, jungleman12 had 3 simple calls to make, this time scooping a massive $101k pot.

Jungleman12 caught a lucky river when he called all in on the turn with the nut flush draw against durrrr’s pocket aces. Jungleman12 spiked his nut flush on the river to take down the $40k pot.

Jungleman12 caught a lucky action card on the turn that completed his 2nd nut flush whilst completing durrrr’s ace high straight. Durrrr called a reraise all in and was left drawing dead for the $40k pot.

Durrrr ran into another tough board that delivered him trips on the river whilst completing jungleman12’s well concealed full house. Durrrr over-bet the river all in and jungleman12 called to win a $59k pot.

Isildur1 completed 276 hand session of $200/$400 CAP PLO a much needed $83k better off on Sunday afternoon even though he found himself in bad shape on a few occasions.

Trex313 out-flopped Isildur1’s pocket aces when he caught a two-pair. Isildur1 managed to pull off a running nut flush to take the $32k pot.

Isidur1 called all in preflop in a 3 way pot and found he had the short straw. He spiked a gut shot straight on the turn that held up to win a $48k pot.

Urindanger got 2 loose calls when he shoved all in on the flop. The best hand was Isildur1’s pair of 2’s which improved to two-pair on the river to scoop the $48k pot.

Patrik Antonius and Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan took to the durrrr challenge tables for a mini session lasting just 16 minutes. In that time durrrr managed to collect another $21,790.50 in just 79 hands, extending his overall lead in the challenge to $1,414,551 in the 32,874 hands played so far.
