Matatuk and DrPill both logged their ‘Worst day’ records on Friday with $457k and $252k nosedives respectively and the railer’s Swedish action hero, Isildur1, managed to pull off a $19k win despite accepting some dangerous heads-up re-matches.
Patrik Antonius scored his biggest winning session of the weekend on Friday night when he took on fellow Fulltilt pro, Brian Hastings, for 439 hands of $300/$600 PLO, and cleaned up for a $378k profit.
Patrik slow-played his hand to perfection when he flopped trips and deceptively checked behind Brian who had pocket 10’s. Brian added a gut shot straight draw to his hand on the turn and moved all in against Patrik’s reraise. The river drew a blank and Patrik took down a well deserved $152k pot.
Brian hit a great flopwhich gave him top set with a flush draw against Patrik’s top two pair. The turn brought Patrik a bigger two pair and he shipped his stack into the middle, only to get the bad news that he was drawing dead. Brian improved to a full house and landed himself a $284k pot.
Patrik won the biggest pot of the session on the very next hand when he flopped middle set over Brian’s bottom set. Brian just called a reraise from Patrik but a blank turn saw all the chips go into the middle with Brian praying for his 1 out. Patrik’s set held up on the river to win a massive $353k pot.
Isildur1 stepped fearlessly back into the lion’s den on Friday morning to rematch Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond and Brian Hastings over 724 hands of $100/$200 PLO. However, Isildur1’s bravery didn’t pay off this time as Phil and Brian finished with $37k and $82k wins respectively.
Phil won the biggest pot when he flopped top set with the nut flush draw against Isildur1’s bottom pair with a flush draw. Isildur1 check-called the flop and bet out on the turn which had also given him a straight draw. Phil moved all in and his hand improved to the nut flush on the river to scoop the $80k pot.
Brian ran into a cold deck when he flopped top set against Isildur1’s nut flush. Isildur1 just called a reraise on the flop and reraised all in on the turn, leaving Brian praying for the board to pair. The river drew a blank and Isildur1 took down a $44k pot.
Phil hit a fortunate river when he called all in with bottom pair against Isildur1’s top pair. The turn improved Isildur1 to top two pair but Phil spiked a gut shot straight on the river to win the $40k pot.
Larsluzak challenged Drpill to an early morning heads-up game of $100/$200 NLH on Friday when they played 1,400 hands resulting in Larsluzak cleaning up for a $183k win in time for lunch.
DrPill attempted a mega-bluff on the river when he check-raised all in with bottom pair. Unfortunately for DrPill, Larsluzak had top pair and called him down to take the $43k pot.
Larsluzak induced 3 barrels from DrPill who moved all in on the river with ace high. Larsluzak check-called him down all the way and his patience was rewarded with a $34k pot.
DrPill delivered a nasty bad beat when he got involved in a raising war on the flop with 10 high against Larsluzak’s pocket 9’s. A miracle turn paired DrPill’s 10 which survived the river to scoop a $47k pot.
Bad luck found Larsluzak’s stack once again when he moved all in on the turn with top pair top kicker against DrPill’s top pair with a gut shot straight draw. The river filled DrPill’s straight and he took down another lucky pot worth $40k.
