Townsend Grinds out a Winning Streak
Amid the mayhem Isildur1 has been causing at the Fulltilt felt this week it looks like Brian Townsend's luck has finally turned as he completed his 6th consecutive winning day on Thursday. The cards haven't been kind to Brian recently and his frustration has been evident in his cardrunner blog where he states that he has run $4m under all-in EV at the PLO tables over the last 3 months.
Thursday’s session at the $200/$400 CAP PLO tables bagged him a much needed $200k win in the 380 hands he played.
Brian's pocket kings held up in a 4 way pot when NEKOTYAN moved all in with pocket jacks, followed by Big Tuna JKo with 8 high and Fakesky with pocket 5’s. Brian wrapped it up pretty quickly by flopping a full house which held up to scoop the $61k pot.
Brian cracked FakeSky’s pocket aces in style by flopping quad kings to take down the $31k pot.
Brian caught a lucky river when he called a flop bet with pocket 9’s against NEKOTYAN’s middle set and Big Tuna JKo, who was all in preflop with pocket kings. A 3rd 9 on the river gave Brian a higher set to win a $42k pot.
He deserves nothing. $4 mil under EV evens out the $4 mil he cheated Isi out of.
