Negreanu is Back in Black

By Paul Ellis - July 28th, 2010

Daniel NegreanuDaniel Negreanu has plugged a leak in his $100/$200 shorthanded game, and it’s coming at the expense of the players who take the felt with KidPoker on Pokerstars.

After a difficult World Series of Poker for Negreanu, the face of PokerStars has really battled online to learn what holes were in his game, and seems to have plugged them over the last 5 sessions, netting Negreanu a $332,706.30 profit in those games, and with his $60k win last night, Negreanu has finally lifted his overall winnings back into the black.

Last night, Negreanu watched the $50k Players Championship and felt amped up to play online, sending this message through his twitter feed, “Just finished watching Grinder’s win at WSOP now ready to play some on PokerStars. Let’s get a few games going tonight boys (and girls).”

The confident Negreanu challenged all comers, and during the 1 hour session at 2 tables, logged 191 hands for a $63,873.30 profit on the night. Negreanu was involved in really 4 massive pots, winning 3 of them, and the night would have ended even better had he won his flip with Ad-Kd vs. nutinho’s Ts-Td in this hand

But KidPoker still had great fortune, winning 2 pots in excess of 100k, with the first being here with Ah-9h.

And the second $100k pot with KK here.

Later, Negreanu would take down a $41k pot with QQ here.

Negreanu would send a message on twitter after the session was complete that he’s turned in a nice profit over 10k hands, and that his goal is to “show a profit over 50k hands.” So expect to see KidPoker remain active at the PokerStars felt in order to reach his goal.

If there’s one thing I know about poker it’s that 5 sessions is enough data to determine that Kid Poker has “plugged his leaks”…

This article is a joke… who are these people writing this… a few hundred hands and he’s great again… he is not a winner in these games in the long run and probably never will be… if daniel played 250k hands at 5-10 – 25-50 he prob could not beat those games either.
