Luukie21 got a lesson in Pot Limit Omaha in a 3.5 hour session with the legendary Phil Ivey. The session cost Luukie21 $674,343.50. The two players traded blows at the $500/$1000 CAP PLO heads up table for 615 hands, and found the $79,999.50 CAP a total of 66 times. Of those 66 capped pots, Ivey would win 37 to Luukie21’s 28 to give Ivey the large score on the session.
Ivey controlled the end of the match taking 10 of the last 12 pots that the two played, including two more CAP’s in this hand where he flopped trip 3’s against Luukie21’s missed flush draw.
And in this hand where Ivey flops a bottom set of 4’s vs. Luukie21’s flopped top 2 pair.
Ivey has been very active on the Full Tilt tables including a widely viewed session vs. Phil Galfond (“OMGClayAiken”). The two traded blows for 185 hands at the $500/$1000 CAP PLO heads up tables. OMGClayAiken had sent a message on his twitter account at the beginning of the session telling his followers that he was “Making the same mistake I’ve made time and time again… Playing Ivey.” But OMGClayAiken would follow it up with a message at the end of the session saying he “Made it out alive.” OMGClayAiken came out ahead $60,536.25 in a session that featured far fewer haymakers between the two high stakes heavyweights. But there would be 16 Capped pots with OMGClayAiken taking the 11 to 5 edge on them.

unless I am really bad at math, the article says their were 16 capped pots and with Galfond winning 11 compared to Ivey’s 5, 11+5 where I went to school was 16.
What if they split some of them?
2shae was right they edited it after he commented!
38+27=65, doesn’t it? ;-)
The missing 2 and 1 from the capped pots are split hands morons. Most likely its where they both hit equivelant str8’s. like a flop of 6 8 10 with them both holding the 7 9. The pot is going to be capped and barring any flushes or higher str8 draws the pot will chop. and that would go towards neither player. If you railbirds are going to mock an article please have the thought to think about what you say before you open mouth and insert foot and tell the world why your a railbird and not a winner.
ok win huh?
Who’s this Luukie guy? He’s almost down a million??
Hey sunkistkid, you’re the one who should check yourself before you put your foot in your mouth. The original article was edited. It previously stated 14. Now, even if you were to try to make sense of it by using the excuse of split pots how does that work when it said 14 with 11 against 5
The mistake would have to be 18 pots with 11 against 5 for your reasoning to work
