The Durrrr Challenge Part 2 has kicked off and is underway, as Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates are trading 50,000 blows. If durrrr were to emerge victorious (he were to end the 50k hands with at least $1 in profit) then Jungleman12 would ship him $500k in addition to the profits from the session, and if Jungleman12 were to emerge the victor, then he would collect $1.5 million from Dwan. Unlike the year-long battle with Patrik Antonius, Dwan and Cates battled on Full Tilt Poker’s $200/$400 No Limit Hold’em tables for their challenge, and logged 3917 hands in their first session. The early leader was Jungleman12 how booked a cool $756,295.50 profit on the session, including winning 5 of the 8 6-figure pots, 2 going to durrrr, and the last on ending in a chop. By playing NLHE, both Cates and Dwan feel that their challenge won’t take nearly as long to complete as the Dwan/Antonius challenge.
Speaking of other online poker news, the Poker Players Alliance was forced to send a “What are you doing” letter to the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, after the brick and mortar casino went on record to openly opposed H.R. 2267 (The Barney Frank bill to regulate online gaming). Poker Pro’s and celebs alike have voiced their opinions in addition to the PPA who are befuddled by the Commerce’s anti-player stance, and have launched a “Players Before Profits” campaign hoping to change the Commerce’s stance on the Internet Gambling legislation. “Members of the PPA, and poker players nationwide, are outraged that the Commerce Casino, the largest poker room in the nation, opposes Federal legislation that would protect players rights to online poker,” says John Pappas, Executive Director of the PPA. “They are angry and want to make their voices heard. The PPA’s ‘Players Before Profits’ campaign give players a vehicle to express their disappointment with Commerce Casino.” Thousands of players have begun signing the petition, and the PPA has sent out a Press Release on the matter. If you’d like to sign the petition, you can do so here.
Last week, Daniel “KidPoker” Negreanu caused quite the stir by using some choice words for Annie Duke in an interview, and this week at the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, Negreanu revealed that those comments were supposed to be “off the record.” Duke responded this week with an open letter of her own, this time it was directed to Negreanu’s sponsor PokerStars. You can view her letter to PokerStars on Annie’s blog here. The duel between the two has grown right before the eyes of the general public, as Duke now questions PokerStars for continuing its support of Negreanu, even through these comments saying that “I am not offended by Daniel’s opinion. He has a right to disagree and dislike me. And I, just like PokerStars would encourage him to express his views and opinions. This is not about his views. It is about a particular word he chose to express those views.”
Speaking of the other news at the WPT Legends, the event was won by Andy Frankenberger who bested Kyle Wilson heads up to claim the WPT Title and snag $750k for the victory. Frankenberger emerged over the 462 player field in the $5k No Limit Hold’em Championship Event, and in the final hand called Wilson’s pre-flop all in holding Ac-9c to Wilson’s Ad-3d. The flop came out 9d-7d-5c, and Frankeberger faded the flush draws with a Jh on the turn and the 6s on the river to win the title.
Finally, it appears that the rumored move of Victory Poker to the Cake Network has become a rumor no longer, as Victory CEO Dan Fleyshman has confirmed that the move will officially take place on September 1st. “I really was happy with the passion of the team at Everleaf,” said Fleyshman. “But I felt like CAKE could handle all the things that I wanted deep down inside.” He goes on to explain how there will be a London launch party in September with the ladies involved in a cake-fight-themed photo shoot.

To Hell with Daniel Negranu. Annie is the best female poker player PERIOD and would probaby crush Daniel now that he isnt that good anymore. Hes just trying to save face because hes probaby scared to play her. I wish Annie played on pokerstars becasue thats where I play and she plays ion fulltilt.
LMFAO @ Above comment! Literally LOL @ every single thing you said in your post, from start to finish.
This article has several grammatical errors.
PTR has absolutely horrible articles. Not only are there several grammatical errors in each article, but they are also almost always late to report on every current event
All this is old news. WTFPTR.
I would have to agree with iiNow above.
This article is atrocious. Who is your editor? Or a better question why have you not fired him/her yet. I could write and/or edit these articles ten times as well.
dam dwan got torched a bit
@lovejoybsalt- “Or a better question why have you not fired him/her yet.” L O fu.cking L. You can’t even write a sentence correctly when you are trying to criticize them on their editing/grammatical errors. What makes you think you could do it for a living?
@polkaqueen- Pipe it bitch. You clearly have NO idea what you’re talking about, which is not surprising, as you are a woman. I can guarantee Daniel is not “scared” to play Annie. Women suck at teh pokers (most likely stemming from their severe intellectual disadvantage).
Well have youu ever heard of Vanessa Selbst. Enough Said. Shes now a pokerstars Pro by the way.
Vanessa Selbst is not a woman, it is a bull dike. Bad example of woman who are successful at poker, as it does not meet the criteria for woman.
uhhh Her name is VANESSA!!! DOES THAT SOUND LIKE A WOMANS NAME TO YOU!!! If you cant even figure that one out then perhaps y9uo SHOULDNT be playing online poker. You probably still play the 10 cents sit sand go turbos!!! LOL its ok,, youll learn.
And By The Way, Why havent I ever Heard of YOU if your so good at poker. Thats funny, Ive heard of SEVERAL women who areprofessionsal poker players… Vanessa Selbst, Jennifer Harmon, Annie Duke Cindy Brunson the list can go on and on but one name IWONT see on there is Yours! I never heard your name before. Now how can you make fun of them when they do what you TRY to do for a living. Thats stupid. Now GO Get a LIFE you PIG.
How retarded do you have to be to actually want to be the grammar police on an article intended to keep people up to date on some poker news. Not all of us scan cardplayer, pocketfives, or 2+2 every single day. It’s a simple article that met it’s purpose. Jesus, get a life.
first of all polka queen, annie does not play on Fulltilt. she is on team ultimate bet. thats why everyone hates her. second, she is nowhere close to the best female poker player.
third, I created the gayest screen name for pokertableratings. damnit.
Dear Support,
I have a been a member for 3 months now and I do like the website but it is ridiculous how many hands the software misses and I am very disappointed with that because I would like to be able to track everything if I pay for it … this is the last month for me as a member….
it is getting ridiculous and it is very disappointing that you guys dont even try to fix it
dear support,
It just updated for some reason after more than 24 hrs but am all set now thank you guys a=I know you guys are trying to track as many hands as possible and I appreciate your hard work

They’re 100% accurate artard.
Unless your name is “douhnutz”,,, apparently he is the only account where PTR missed “Hundreds of thousands of dollars” (LOL). The guys just trying to save face bcuz hes a poker “coach” (LOL).
But anyways, the data wont appear on your page the very second you finish a session. There’s delays in getting the hands, but they always get em.
correction: “doughnutz”
you sound like a wana be tuna
does victory poker only tracks HU????
