One year on from April 15th (remember? when online poker got a lil' bit crazy?), Americas Cardroom are all set to shake up the world of poker, this time for a GOOD reason with a no limit hold 'em poker tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000!

Americas Cardroom is a US facing poker room with fast payouts and a great reputation (go search 2+2!) as a poker room, giving Americans and all other poker players a chance to pay in a safe and secure environment. To top it all off, now they are hosting the biggest online poker tournament available for to all players (US players included), with $500,000 split up over two big poker tournaments, every weekend between March 31st and April 29th.

The anniversary of online poker's "Black Friday", on April 15th is such a huge day and this sentiment is backed up by a statement made by Michael Harris, a spokesman for Americas Cardroom,

Michael commented on the growth of Americas Cardroom and the immensity of this promotion,

"We’ve been growing our online poker community over the last year by leaps and bounds, and we’re excited to celebrate poker freedom with all our players by putting $500,000 on the table over five weekends."

The Liberty Quarter Million starts on March 31st (Saturday) with the following scheduled guaranteed tournaments, including a $250,000 Guaranteed tournament and 4x$50,000 guaranteed tournaments:

  • 1st 50k (guaranteed) tournament - Apr 1st, 7pm EST
  • 2nd 50k (guaranteed) tournament - Apr 8th, 7pm EST
  • 3rd 250k (guaranteed) tournament - Apr 15th, 7pm EST
  • 4th 50k (guaranteed) tournament - Apr 22nd, 7pm EST
  • 5th 50k (guaranteed) tournament - Apr 29th, 7pm EST

That leaves $50,000 which is split up into 5x$10K guaranteed tournaments every Saturday in April, with a $50+5 buy-in.
