iPoker Splits Micro to Mid Stakes NL Games

Earlier this week, the iPoker split finally took place, although their hasn't been much clarity as to what it means or what has actually been separated.

Thus far it seems that the split is across No Limit cash and SNG tables from micros to mid-stakes, although this may change in future updates. The guys over at PokerFuse have done a great job of compiling an iPoker Split FAQ about the split, and we recommend all our iPoker members check the article out to see how it affects them.

On our end, we're monitoring the situation and will provide updates on how this affects your player profiles. So far, we estimate that roughly 30% of hands for the iPoker network as a are played on iPoker 1 rooms.

Overall, the split should result in softer games on iPoker 2, now that the rakeback grinders of some of the smaller iPoker 1 skins are being forced to fight it out with each other without the opportunity to take advantage of the new players joining every day via the player acquisition efforts of the larger skins.

BlankRainbow secured the top spot at $1/$2 for July with $12K in profit over an impressive 66,385 hands. Equally impressive are Neverover_EV's results for the month. Though he was just short of top honors, he earned a substantial $11,964 in a staggering 148,071 hands. Here are the June 2012 200NL, 400NL and 600NL UGL competitors:

morpheuZZ leads the $1/$2 charge this month, playing a hefty 72 thousand hands with a solid 3.18 BB/100. After a soul-crushing May, he’s made a huge comeback and is back in the black so far for the summer. 0human0_ is consistently dominating the $1/$2 HU tables, proven by how little variance appears on his brag-worthy graph. With a staggering 42.61 BB/100 winrate, he just edges out JohnDonkrad, who takes the 5th position with a respectable $9,527 profit for the month, while playing the most hands out of any of his top 5 $1/$2 competitors. May 2012 UGL

Wildfire23 continues to have a rock solid 2012 with a huge month of May. His June is continuing the upward trend and after a colossal breakdown in the last quarter of 2011, he seems to be back on top of his game. OhhISay has proven himself to be a worthy opponent, earning a glorious $15K in just under 90,000 hands. Even though he didn’t win the month, a shoutout goes to twentybets for having played the most hands out of the top 5 finishers at $1/$2, while also scooping up an impressive $14 thousand in the process. Update on PokerStars profiles on PTR

We have received several requests from users to have their PokerStars player profiles unblocked from view.

Unfortunately we have not yet received the green light from PokerStars to be able to allow players to view their own personal profiles here on PTR.

We urge all interested users who wish to be able to view their profiles and to have them update with new hands to contact the support team at PokerStars directly, as we currently do not collect PokerStars hands or allow for any viewing of Stars profiles on PTR today.

Any changes to the situation regarding PokerStars players will not occur without their consent. Stay tuned to our blog for any updates on this ongoing feature discussion.

April 2012 UGL

At long last, here are the April results for the UGL leaderboards for 200NL, 400NL and 600NL:

Tifon7 has had an amazing turnaround the last few months, digging himself out of a hole and collecting a nice chunk of change for his efforts. Hopefully his Comeback King badge isn't just a one-time flare-up and he can maintain his success at $1/$2. Piggybank#3 also had a very solid month, with just more than half the hands played as Tifon7 but nearly the same profit (and an astronomical BB/100 during the month). Though he struggled early in the year, he seems to have found his winning ways again and we'll see how he fares in May. Full 200NL results

Introducing PTR Link!

We are proud to introduce a new feature here on PTR that will give players more control over their profiles. PTR Link (in its beta release) allows members to take control of their PTR poker player profiles, gaining access to customization functionality, with even more awesome features and tools to come!

PTR Link is open to any members who have a poker account on one of our featured networks. These include Party Poker, OnGame, iPoker, Merge, and Cake. All you have to do is visit your PTR player profile page and click on the "Link This Profile" button (you can also do this from your MyPTR page directly). You'll be given a unique set of instructions to complete (such as "sit at any NL10 table with $5.43"). Once we’ve spotted you at the table, you’ll be confirmed as the profile owner.

The first customization features include the ability to add an avatar and biography as well as the power to moderate comments. The comments you make on your profile will be highlighted and will appear under your poker screen name, allowing you to engage in discussion directly with your poker fans!

New Features Coming to PTR

As many of you know, PokerStars requested that we change our poker results pages for their players. We have fully agreed to do so and are already making the changes necessary to be entirely within their terms and conditions for 3^rd party websites.

Our goal is to be a positive influence on the online poker community for players and brands alike, a place where poker players from all levels, stakes, and backgrounds can come and enjoy the features we offer.

Some exciting new updates to the site are planned that will empower all of our members, provide more valuable poker tools for players, and help brands communicate with their players about some of the promotions they have.

We’ve shifted into overdrive in order to get our newest feature ready for the public and are excited to hear about what people think. We are confident that PTR will be an amazing resource for the online poker community and look forward to providing valued services for online poker rooms and players.
