Worst beat ever?

That is probably the worst beat ever! Without figuring the odds - they must be incredible. A one outer is hard to take, but a two and two combination is really tough. Ok so I figured the odds, it looks like a 0.18% chance. Nothing you can do on that one. You gotta get your money in and you did.

People can complain about PokerStars or Fulltilt or whatever site. But these things do happen. If we play enough hands we will see these bad beats. As bad as that beat is, in that situation it is going to happen 1.8 times in 1000. That's just the odds - it's going to happen. But it sure does suck if you are the one with quad kings and are on the wrong side of the odds.

Earlier today I hit a two outer on a guy, That's not so dramatic, but I don't remember feeling bad about it because it's happened to me plenty over time. And I don't freak out when it happens to me. That's just poker. But I might have freaked out if I was Mikey1 on that hand!


The craziest hand I've seen, I was at the table but not in the hand, two guys got it all in preflop with AA vs KK. No big deal. Happens all the time right?

Flop comes K 4 A - they both make a set

Turn comes a K for quad Kings - Imagine you're the guy with kings, you go from crushed to elated.

River comes the A for quad Aces

If I was the guy with KK I might have had a heart attack!
