In my opinion, if it's my money I should be permitted to spend it on anything I like. Debit cards are the new cash of today. So if I choose to utilize that method of payment, which is touted as being the most secure, why tie my hands by deciding what I can or cannot purchase? Credit is one thing, the bank loaning the money should have a right to decide how those funds can be spent. However when the money is mine, I should be able to light it on fire if I want, which by the way is illegal as well lol.
We Americans are becoming suffocated by legislation that are described as being methods to protect us from ourselves. Deciding how and where we can spend our own money is not protection, it is domination that directs money into more profitable avenues for the individuals holding our money. I have no problem if a company limits deposits into a gambling business. Gambling is a real problem for some people. But outright legislation to halt it all together, that is taking it too far.
I will say it is odd if you're in Vegas and need funds for gambling. It is quite easy to pull out a piece of plastic and continue the vacation. You want to do the same online? Forget it, that company is not paying taxes in the US or didn't donate to my election fund, give me a break!
