RAKE ANALYSIS

PokerTableRatings.com has used its massive database to determine the true cost of playing on-line poker at the leading on-line poker rooms. We have analyzed millions of hands to determine from actual play which sites charge you the most and how your playstyle effects how much you pay.

What is Rake?

Rake is the small amount of money taken out of every pot that goes to the flop. This is how the poker sites make thier money. Every site has a different rake structure which can drastically effect your win rate.

How does Rake Effect Me

You must win at least as much from the other players at the table to overcome the amount of rake taken from those pots that you win simply to break even. This is what is generally referred to as “beating the rake.” Since different sites charge different amounts of rake, you will need to win more on some sites than others to sustain a positive win rate.
